CURRICULUM VITAE

Darko Motik, Ph.D. was born on 5^th February 1966 in Zagreb. He enrolled Faculty of Forestry, University of Zagreb - Wood Technology Department in year 1983.

            He graduated from Faculty of Forestry on 12^th of May 1992, and got a job on the same Faculty on October 1^st 1993. He started as assistant in Department for production organization in wood industry for Economics and Wood Trade and Marketing.

            On the year 1993 he enrolled the postgraduate study in the field of Production Organization in Wood Industry, which he succesfuly solved. Mr. Darko Motik defended his Master's thesis under the title "Research of the lifespan function for specific products in furniture manufacturing" on 4^th January 1996 on the Faculty of Forestry in Zagreb. He achieved his Doctor's degree by defending his Doctor's Disertation under the title "Models for products and production programmes planning in furniture manufacturing" a December 15^th 1999.

            Darko Motik, Ph.D. participated in 23 scientific and professional symposiums in Croatia and abroad and he published 51 scientific and 6 professional papers.

FIELDS OF OCCUPATION

                Darko Motik's fields of educational and professional interest are problems of wood and wood products market. The ways and places of distribution, the promotion, planning and development of wood products and production programmes, price setting and market research.

            He is also intersted in economic problems of wood processing and furniture manufacturing firms, such as: price setting, cost analysis and amortization.
